Brown County Commissioners were notified Monday by the courthouse maintenance department of structural issues and cracks that have developed in the courthouse.  They were shown a chunk of concrete (shown in photo) that had fallen from near the top of the courthouse.  Commissioners were told some beams near the top, which are exposed, are rusting.  There were also shown photos of cracks developing in various parts of the building.  An insurance adjuster, already scheduled to check out other structural issues at the sheriff’s department and The Oaks Juvenile Detention Facility, will also be asked to inspect the structural issues at the courthouse.
