April is National Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness Month. The Brownwood-Brown County Child Welfare Board participates in this endeavor through a variety of methods. The public is encouraged to check out some of the new features being instituted this year to call attention to the very real problem of child abuse and neglect. Anyone who suspects child abuse or neglect is obligated to notify local law enforcement agencies and/or call the abuse hotline: 1-800-252-5400.
