The Bangs Lady Dragons improved to 6-1 in District 8-3A softball action with a 9-2 win over Eastland Tuesday, concluding the first half of league play.

Also Tuesday, the Early Lady Horns slipped to 4-3 against league foes after a 7-5 loss to Dublin.

In baseball action, the Early Longhorns cruised to 4-1 in 8-3A action after a 16-1 triumph over Dublin.

Meanwhile, the Bangs Dragons remained winless in district competition after an 8-2 setback to Eastland. The Dragons are now 0-5 against 8-3A foes.

The Bangs teams will visit the Early teams beginning at 5 p.m. Friday for a softball/baseball doubleheader.
