Brownwood’s Le, Ramos win mixed doubles at Abilene tennis tournament

The Brownwood High tennis team competed in the Abilene High tournament over the weekend, which was highlighted by Peter Le and Victoria Ramos winning the mixed doubles draw. Results of the event are as follows:

Mixed Doubles

Peter Le and Victoria Ramos

bye; defeated Carew and Wade of Burkburnett, 6-0, 6-0; defeated Sigarrillo and Sigarrillo of Snyder, 6-0, 6-4; defeated Padon and Dunn of Abilene, 6-3, 6-1; defeated Chapman and Moreno of Snyder, 6-2, 6-2.

Wesley Goodrich and Claire Meinecke

lost to Veitenheimer and Meyer of Iowa Park, 6-2, 6-2; lost to Quigley and Villamor of Abilene High, 6-3, 6-3; defeated Jackson and Morgan of Richland, 3-6, 6-4, 10-5

The Lions and Lady Lions will be back in action Tuesday and Wednesday at the District 6-4A tournament, which will be held in Brownwood.
