Shannon Goodheart, age 69, of Santa Anna, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2022. Cremation is under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home in Early.

Shannon was born to Pat and Bob Jones in Pocatello, Idaho on September 3, 1952. After graduating from high school, Shannon obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Language at Idaho State University, a Bachelor’s Degree in Education at Fresno State University, and then a Masters Degree in Education at Texas Tech University. During the course of her career as a teacher, she taught elementary, middle school, and high school students, as well as English as a second language to adults. Shannon also served in the US Army Reserves. Shannon married Bruce Goodheart on October 29, 1977 in Pocatello, Idaho. She loved languages and was a voracious reader of all genres, especially the natural world, history, and random facts. She also loved to travel; Shannon visited Germany, France, Italy, England, Ireland, Scotland, and Mexico. She also enjoyed raising cattle; she named every single one.

Shannon is survived by her husband, Bruce Goodheart; children, Dara Goodheart and husband Rusty Sears, and Rob Goodheart and wife Tracy; and grandsons, Rory and Finnegan Sears.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Debbie Cullum.

The family would like to add: Life is an adventure, we can honor her memory by living it. Condolences, memories and tributes can be offered to the family online at heartlandfuneralhome.net.
