The Brownwood Lions finished first as a team Wednesday at a district preview golf tournament hosted by Squaw Valley Golf Course in Glen Rose.
The Lions posted a 342 team score, four strokes better than runner-up Life Waxahachie (345). Also competing in the event were Brownwood’s District 6-4A rivals Stephenville (5th, 349) and Glen Rose (7th, 377).
Sir Bubba Jones paced the Lions with a round of 82 followed by Hudson Reagan with an 83, Ethan Waldrop with an 86, Caleb Modawell with a 91, and Liam McNeese with a 94.
The two-round, 36-hole District 6-4A golf tournament will take place March 28 at Lampasas and March 29 at Glen Rose.
