Fire in northeast Brown County scores 4,000 acres, 0% contained

As of 9:30 p.m. Friday, here is an update on two of the fires in our area, courtesy of the San Angelo National Weather Service Office.

Crews Gap: The fire is located in western Coleman County. As of 9:07 PM, the fire is 7,000 acres, and is 50% contained.

Oak Mott: The fire is located in extreme northeast Brown County. As of 7:49 PM, the fire is 4,000 acres and is 0% contained.

ATTENTION COMANCHE COUNTY RESIDENTS—EVERYONE NEEDS TO BE ON HIGH ALERT TO EVACUATE IF NECESSARY—ESPECIALLY IN THE NORTH WEST END OF THE COUNTY AND THE AREA AROUND VICTOR (BETWEEN DE LEON AND DESDEMONA) THESE AREAS ARE EXPERIENCING IMMEDIATE FIRE DANGER.
