Anna Bell Woods Egger, longtime member of Welcome W. Chandler Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, was memorialized Sunday, March 6, with a DRT Medallion. Mrs. Egger died in 2018. Among DRT members honoring her at Regency Cemetery was her daughter, Marianna Egger Graves, center. Left to right, Republic of Texas descendants honoring Mrs. Egger included Caroline Welker, Children of the Republic of Texas, and DRT members Dr. Julie Welker, Dixie Baugh Bible, Mary Lee Bailey Shelton, Mrs. Graves, Nancy Baugh Lowry, Rosemary Cox, Elizabeth Everett, and Karen Fair. Mrs. Egger’s family members placed yellow roses on her headstone during the ceremony. The DRT Medallion is bestowed only on graves of DRT members to honor their Texas heritage.
