Special guest Elizabeth Kahura will be appearing for one day only at the Brown County Museum of History on Saturday, March 5th, 2022.  The family-friendly event offers entertainment for adults and children of all ages.

Continuing its celebration of Black History, the Museum is bringing Ms. Kahura to present a lively program of music and dance from her native East Africa.  “This is a great casual family event, and an opportunity for our community to have a fun and educational experience”, stated Museum Coordinator Kyndall Howard.

Kahura is excited to be appearing for the first time in Brownwood.  “I love for all the children to come and participate! The music of Africa is filled with joyful rhythms and dance beats, and everyone enjoys joining in.”

Shows are scheduled for both 10:00 and 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, but seating is limited.
Music Makers: Africa! is free with regular admission (Only $3 for students, $5 for adults; Kids 4 and Under are Free, with lower admission for Seniors and Veterans.  A Family Special rate offers 5 family members for only $15.)  Admission also includes all exhibits in the Main Building and Old Jail.
