Michael “Mike” Evans, age 65, of Brownwood passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at home.

A Celebration of Life for Mike will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at Blaylock Funeral Home Chapel with David Barnum officiating; private interment will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

Michael was born on April 24, 1956, to Harry and Gloria (Spivey) Evans in Brownwood. He worked for Hi-Way Autoparts for many years. He was known as the “Car Guy” around Brown County, for his love of cars, working on cars, reading and history of cars. Mike was a very kind guy and a friend to everyone.

Mike is survived by his 2 sons, Michael Arcadia and wife Allison of Arlington, and Aaron Reed of Arlington; daughter, Kathryn “Katy” Evans and fiancé Nick Kaufman of Harker Heights; several grandchildren; sister, Jodie Burns of Brownwood; and brother, Tony Evans and wife Margaret of Mineral Wells. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Gloria; 2 sisters, Debbie Henderson and Lisa Collier; nephew, Norman Clayton; grandparents, Edgar and Maxine Spivey; and special friend of many years, Eve.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the National Alliance of Mental Illness.
