Brown County Sheriff’s Report: Feb. 28

  • On Friday, February 25 at around 10:13 a.m. Deputy Carlyle Gover responded to Marketplace Road. This was in reference to a burglarized vehicle, which occurred earlier in the county at 5th Street in Blanket. After further investigation, a report was made.
  • On Friday, February 25 at around 1:50 p.m. Deputy Carlyle Gover responded to Carpenter St. This was in reference to tires being stolen from the property. After further investigation, a report was made.
  • On Saturday, February 26 at around 1:19 p.m. Deputy Carlyle Gover made contact with a victim living in Brownwood. This was in reference to finding a debit card at a traffic stop, he was not involved in. After further investigation, Brownwood Police Department was contacted about the theft, and a report was made.
  • On Sunday, February 27 at around 3:16 p.m. Deputy Carlyle Gover observed a vehicle at East Commerce. This vehicle matched the description of a vehicle observed at a theft, which occurred the day prior. An investigative stop was conducted, and consent was given to search the vehicle. Narcotics were located in the vehicle. All three vehicle occupants were taken into custody for Possession of a Controlled Substance, PG1 under a gram.
  • On Sunday, February 27 at approximately 10:26 a.m. Deputy Mike Sheedy responded to a residence located on Lewis Street. This was for a report of domestic violence.  The investigation revealed an assault did occur, and the suspect also hindered the complainants’ ability to make an emergency call for help.  A report was generated and will be forwarded to investigations for follow up.
  • On Sunday, February 27 at around 10:21a.m. Deputy Carlyle Gover responded to East Hall St. This was in reference to a subject violating a protective order earlier in the day. After further investigation, a report was made.
  • On Sunday, February 27, at approximately 3:20 p.m. Deputy Mike Sheedy responded to a residence on Lewis Street. This was in regarding a theft. Investigation revealed a theft had occur and a report was generated.
  • On Sunday, February 27, Deputy Mike Sheedy took a report of lost property, which occurred on February 26 in the area of Pency Drive at Lake Brownwood.
  • On Monday, February 28, at approximately 12:04 a.m., Deputy Nicolas A. Wood, was notified of a domestic disturbance, which had occurred at Mountain View Drive in May. An investigation was conducted, and a report was made.
