H.M. Duncan

H.M. Duncan, age 89, of Talpa, died Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Ballinger Memorial Hospital.

The family will host a visitation at 11:30 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Voss Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman. The family will host a reception following interment at 605 Hillside Drive, Coleman, Texas 76834.

H.M. was born December 18, 1932, in Talpa, Texas to Ules Duncan and Ethel Bailey Duncan. He grew up in Voss. H.M. married Patsy Wartenbach and she preceded him in death. He then married Lillie Maureen Steward on August 26, 2000. H.M. worked and retired from the Texas Department of Transportation. H.M. loved farming his land and raising his sheep. He also enjoyed collecting antiques. He loved his family and will be missed.

Also preceding H.M. in death are his parents, Ules and Ethel Duncan; his brother, Leroy Duncan; and his sister; Juanita Duncan Doole.

He is survived by his wife, Lillie Maureen Duncan of San Angelo; his children, Glenda Zepeda and husband Val of Hutto, Harlan Duncan of Aspermont, Rhonda Harrell and husband Donald of San Saba, and Vivian McCall and husband Jeff of Lancaster, Ohio; his step-children, Pam Gasper and husband Steven of Lake Leaky, Dan Davison and wife Cathy of Snyder, and Dennis Davison and wife Margaret of Houston; his grandchildren, Jason Connell and wife Cindy, Brandon Connel, Kyla Morgan and husband Scott, Jacob Duncan, Nicole Duncan, Jennifer Duncan, Bransen McCall, Bailee McCall, and Westyn McCall; and thirteen grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested in memory of Mr. Duncan to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.act.alz.org.
