BROWNWOOD ISD

REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL

RFP 2022

Removal / Replacement of Kitchen Equipment

Notice to Vendors

Brownwood ISD invites interested parties to make proposals for removal and replacement of kitchen equipment. The “Request for Proposal” (RFP) will be available February 18, 2022, posted on the Brownwood Independent School District website under Departments, Business Office, and then Bids and publicized in brownwoodnews.com.

Information provided in these specifications is to be used only for preparing a proposal. It is further expected that each vendor will read these specifications with care, for failure to meet every one or a combination of specified conditions may invalidate the proposal.

The school district reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, or any portion thereof, to negotiate with the provider, and to accept the proposal deemed most advantageous to the school district.

Vendors are requested to submit quotations on the basis of these specifications. Alternative quotations (for equipment different than that requested in these specifications) will receive consideration providing such alternatives are clearly explained. Any exceptions to requested equipment herein must be clearly noted in writing and be included as a part of the proposal.

The school district believes that the date contained in these specifications is sufficient for preparation of proposals. The information is believed to be accurate and is based upon the latest available information, but it is not to be considered in any way as a warranty.

Additional information can be obtained by written requests via email to [email protected].

Sealed proposals will be received no later than March 4, 2022 at 10:00 AM. The outside envelope containing the proposal(s) must be clearly marked “KITCHEN EQUIPMENT PROPOSAL” and should be addressed to:

Mitch Moore

Assistant Superintendent

Brownwood ISD

P.O. Box 730

Brownwood, TX. 76804-0730

General Requirements

Purpose

The school district is interested in receiving proposals from responsible parties which will allow it to replace aging equipment.

Timetable

  • Proposals should be mailed or hand delivered to the Assistant Superintendent’s office to arrive no later than Friday, March 4, 2022 at 10:00 AM.

  • Submitters of successful proposals will be notified as soon as practical.

  • The effective date of the replacement will be June 2022.

Proposal Submission

Delivery of the proposal is the responsibility of the vendor whether it be mailed or in person. Where proposals are sent by mail, the vendors shall be responsible for their delivery before the date and time set for the closing of proposal acceptance.

Withdrawal of Proposals

Vendors may withdraw their proposals at any time prior to the propasal due date and time. No vendor shall withdraw or cancel his proposal for a period of sixty (60) days after the specified closing time. Once the school district accepts a proposal and notifies the successful vendor, that proposal may be withdrawn, canceled, or modified only at the request of the school district.

Interpretation of Specifications

If any person contemplating submitting a proposal is in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of these specifications, he may submit a written request for an interpretation thereof. The person submitting the request will be responsible for its prompt delivery.
