The Brownwood High tennis team competed at the Copperas Cove Invitational over the weekend, where Peter Le finished third in boys singles and River Prado and Tatum DeHart captured the the mixed doubles consolation championship. Full results are below:
Boys Singles
Peter Le
1st round defeated Camacho (Ellison) 8-0; 2nd round defeated Garner (Waco); quarterfinals defeated Hutts (Gatesville) 8-2; semifinals fell to Shelton (Vista Ridge) in a 10 point tiebreaker.

River Prado and Tatum Dehart
1st round bye; 2nd round lost to Enell/Harvey (Harker Height) 8-1l consolation quarterfinals defeated Zacha/Alexander (Gatesville) 8-3; consolation semifinals defeated Fuseller/Royo (Copperas Cove) 8-6; consolation final defeated Colson/Kope (Copperas Cove).

Victoria Ramos
1st round defeated Freeman (Burnet) 8-4; fell in 2nd round to Mitchell (Gatesville) 8-4.
Claire Meinecke
1st round defeated Ellis (San Saba) 8-4, then felll to Lajarin (HH).
Aishwarya Nigayle
Fell to Tatum (Gatesville) 8-0; defeated Weid (Vista Ridge); advanced to consolation finals and fell Hogue (Waco).

Taylor Wallace/Taevion Nickerson
1st round defeated Williams/Hernandez (San Saba) 8-2,; 2nd round defeated Olatunji/Sanders (Copperas Cove) 5-7, 7-5 (10-5); semfinals lost to Arellano/Vasquez (Lampasas) 6-3, 6-3; lost third place match to Akhmadjonov/Smolen (Copperas Cove).

Madalyn Scull/Natalie Mares
1st round bye; 2nd round defeated Vasquez/Cuebas (San Saba) 9-8; quarterfinals defeated Williams/Howard (Harker Heights) 7-6(5), 6-4; semifinals lost to Valdez/Clements (Lampasas) 6-1, 6-0; fell in third-place match to Smith/Fitzer (Gatesville).
Brownwood will next compete at the San Saba tournament Friday, Feb. 25.
