Chamber holds Republican Primary candidates forum

The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce held the third candidates forum in the month of February for those running in the March 1 Republican Party during a Friday luncheon at the Brownwood Country Club.

Outgoing Chamber Executive Director Nathan Smith and Master of Ceremonies Rex Tackett spoke prior to the candidates, who were limited to three minutes to address the public.

Candidates who spoke at the event included:

County Judge – Paul Lilly, Shane Britton, Molly Kay Smith, Terry Blevins

Precinct 2 Commissioner – Joel Kelton, Jeff Hoskinson, Bo Allen Jr.

Precinct 4 Commissioner – Larry Traweek, George Huseman

Justice of the Peace Precinct 3 – Bryan Thompson, Brian Edwards

Justice of the Peace Precinct 4 – Ted Perez, Rusty Howell. Harold Thomas and Andre Smoot were not present.

Early voting schedule is:

February 22nd thru 23rd  8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (Feb. 21 is a federal holiday)

February 24th thru 25th  7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Election Day 

March 1st –7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Polls will be open countywide on March 1 at the following locations
