Lions soccer tallies second straight district victory, 5-2 over Mineral Wells

After rallying in the closing minutes to win their District 4-4A soccer opener against Graham this past Friday, the Brownwood Lions recorded a resounding 5-2 victory over the Mineral Wells Rams Tuesday night at Gordon Wood Stadium to keep their league record unblemished.

Noah Barron, who recorded the game-winning goal in a 3-2 triumph over Graham, scored three times against Mineral Wells, while Cameron Phipps and Dryden Anderson also found the net for the Lions.

Brownwood (5-6-2, 2-0) will compete the first third of district action at Stephenville at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
