Beverly Ann (Gilbreath) Day, 84, of Brownwood, Texas passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2022. A visitation with family will be held at Heartland Funeral Home, Friday, February 18, 2022 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. A graveside service will be held in the Santa Anna Cemetery pavilion, Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 1:00 PM under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home.

Beverly was born in Santa Anna, Texas December 3, 1937 and lived most of her life in this area. She started school at Shields and went there through 5th grade starting 6th grade, students would go to the Santa Anna school. Her 7th grade year, she was struck with polio and it would change her life forever. She spent five months in Gonzales Warm Springs Hospital for crippled children where she had to l earn to walk with a brace and cane. Beverly had always wanted to play basketball but that would never happen so she joined the band, which she enjoyed the rest of her school years. At the age of 14, the Doctors sent her to Scott and White Hospital for surgery, then back to Gonzales for 5 more months and she got to come home. Beverly was a junior in high school when she met Bill and he would be the love of her life. Three days after graduation they were married and in June of 2020, they celebrated 63 years. Later that year, Bill passed away. In their early years of marriage, Beverly was a homemaker and stayed very involved in the boy’s school and sports activities. She worked at Thortons and did alterations. Beverly was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed working for the public. In 1976 she graduated from Brownwood commercial college. She did all the book work involved with their business, Triple D oil and gas. In 1977, they moved to their forever home at Lake Brownwood. Later she started and managed her own business, T’Days Health and Fitness until her passing. Beverly was a member of the Santa Anna Church of Christ and the Lake Brownwood Church of Christ for many years.

Beverly is survived by her sons, Terry Day of Brownwood & Jody Day and wife Vanessa of Maysville, GA; grandchildren, Landon Day and wife Nikki of Midlothian, Lauren Bishop and husband Lee of Jefferson, GA, and Lance Day and wife Annie of Cumming, GA; sister, Sharon Bixler Mears of Amarillo; brother, James Gilbreath of Abilene; 7 great grandchildren; a niece and many nephews, cousins and friends.

Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Day; and her parents.
