Four sentenced in 35th District Court

According to District Attorney Micheal Murray, the following felony cases were recently heard in Brown/Mills County District Court, Judge Mike Smith, presiding.

Robert Walker pled guilty to the felony offenses of Assault Against Public Servant and Possession of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to Fifteen (15) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Alfredo Aguirre pled guilty to the felony offense of Evading Arrest with Vehicle and was sentenced to Twelve (12) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Danial Ray Lewis, on probation for two separate felony offenses of Assault Family Violence- Enhanced was adjudicated and sentenced to Seven (7) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Joanna Marie McCarty pled guilty to the felony offense of Tampering with or Fabricating Physical Evidence and was sentenced to Three (3) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Further, McCarty, pled guilty to the state jail felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to Fifteen (15) months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division. Also, McCarty, on probation for the state jail felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance was adjudicated and sentenced to Eighteen (18) months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
