Marilyn Rash Richer

Marilyn Rash Richer, 75, of Brownwood passed away on Friday, February 4, 2022. A visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 pm on Friday, February 11th at Heartland Funeral Home in Early. Graveside services will follow at 1pm Saturday, February 12th at the Aspermont Cemetery in Aspermont, Texas under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home.

Marilyn was born in Peacock, Texas on July 2, 1946 to Vernon and Irene Rash. She graduated from Aspermont High School, second highest ranking student in the 1964 graduating class. After graduating she worked at Aspermont School as secretary for a couple of years. She went on to work at the FHA office in Anson, Texas and after 40 years she retired. She married Ronald Richer on August 22, 1989 in Abilene, Texas. After retirement her and Ron moved to Lake Brownwood. She was an artist, piano player, and a seamstress. She loved her road trips to the casino and Buc-ees.

Marilyn is survived by her sister Gay Gibson and OJ Purcell of Brownwood, TX; many nieces, nephews and their families. She loved them all. A special niece and caregiver Donna Miller and husband Mike of Zephyr, TX. “Her Grandkids” as she called them Taylor Miller, Zackery Miller and fiancé Kensli Rockafellow, and Kolby Miller all of Zephyr, TX; along with her beloved pet “Tiny”.

She is preceded in death by her husband Ronald Richer; parents Vernon and Irene Rash, brothers J.V. and Doyle Rash; sisters, Pat Winters and Nita Workman; sister in laws, Laverne and Hahney Rash.
