Brett Kyle Armstrong, age 62, of Brownwood, passed away Monday, January 31, 2022. Funeral services for Brett will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, February 5, 2022, in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held an hour prior to services.

Brett was born to Gloria and R.W. Armstrong in Denton, Texas. He married Sherri Richardson on May 29, 1982 in Dallas. Brett was a Lieutenant for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice where he was employed for over 25 years until retirement. He loved motorcycles, rock and roll, and enjoyed collecting coins. Brett was also a member of the Masonic Lodge.

Brett is survived by his wife, Sherri Armstrong; children, Rachel Quintero and Terrence Jones, Donald Clay Armstrong, Erin Armstrong and Keith Tull, Christian Armstrong, and Christopher Armstrong; sister, Virginia Armstrong; 5 grandchildren, Jasmine Jones, Rory Stanley, Tiffany Jones, Chloe Jones, and Peyton Stanley. He is also survived by 1 great grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandmother, Frankie Broner; and brother, Gregory Armstrong.
