Brown County Sheriff’s Report: Jan. 28

  • On Monday, January 24 at around 6:16 a.m., Deputy Toby Mathis, responded to CR 215. This was for a report of a domestic disturbance in progress. Deputies arrived and after speaking with parties involved and an individual was taken into custody. A report was made.
  • On Tuesday, January 25 at approximately 10:56 a.m., Deputy Nicolas A. Wood, was notified of a walk-in with a trespass issue. An investigation was conducted.
  • On Tuesday, January 25 at approximately 1412 hours, I, Deputy Nicolas A. Wood, was notified of a walk-in, who stated she had a firearm stolen. An investigation was conducted, and the report was made.
  • On Tuesday, January 25 Brown County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 9000 block of Wildwood Trail. This was regarding a burglary investigation. It was determined a burglary had been committed sometime between January 4 and January 25, 2022. A report was generated and forwarded to CID for further investigation.
  • On Thursday, January 27, Lt. Pete Bastardo was dispatched to FM 1176. This was in regards to cruelty to animals. Bastardo made contact with the calling party and viewed the animals in question. There were two red Hereford cows, which appeared slightly malnourished. Photos were taken, along with a report. The owner was identified.
