Jackie J. Bullion

Jackie J. Bullion, 79, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022. Service: 10:00 AM, Friday, January 28, 2022, Wiley Funeral Home, Glen Rose with graveside service to follow at 3:00 PM at Greenleaf Cemetery, Brownwood. Visitation: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Thursday, January 27, 2022, Wiley Funeral Home, Glen Rose. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Jackie was born in Brownwood, Texas on August 25, 1942 to RT “Jack” Bullion and Ruth Annette Allen Bullion. He was known by several names Jackie Joe, Jackie, JJ, Coach Bullion, Coach, Dad, Papa and Bull.  He was a graduate of Brownwood High School, Howard Payne University as well as Tarleton State University. He influenced many young minds across Texas during his teaching and coaching career. During the fall, you could find him at the best match up of any two high school teams. He drove miles and miles to see a good football game. In the spring, he traveled around Texas as a starter for high school track meets.  He enjoyed his family, friends, traveling, sports, horse racing and a little bit of gambling.

Jackie was preceded in death by his wife Cheryl Elaine Fitzpatrick Bullion, parents RT “Jack” Bullion and Ruth Annette Allen Bullion, brothers Jerry Wayne Bullion and Lanny Gene Bullion, sister-in-law Patricia Ann Bullion and niece Ruth Ann Bullion Rousch.

Jackie is survived by daughter Michelle Ulrich and husband Ronnie Ulrich of Midlothian, granddaughter Bailey Randall of Fort Worth, grandson Tate Randall of San Angelo, grandson Ty Randall of Midlothian, grandson Jackson Griffin of Crandall, brother-in-law Don Fitzpatrick of Brownwood, and nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
