EARLY – The Early Longhorns and Lady Horns chalked up lopsided District 8-3A basketball victories of the rival Bangs Dragons and Lady Dragons Tuesday night.

In girls action, the Lady Horns notched a 48-23 victory, while in boys competition the Longhorns were victorious by a 58-25 count.

In the Longhorns’ (17-8, 4-2) win over the Dragons (2-10, 0-5), Early received 21 points from Jeremy Brown, 16 from Vic Cooper, six from John Hill, five from Dalton Adams, four from Jaxyn Price, three from Korbin Barr, and two points apiece from Andrew Caten and Kaleb Hoffman.

The Lady Horns improved to 10-14 overall and 4-4 in district with their win, while the Lady Dragons slipped to 8-18 for the season and 1-7 against 8-3A foes.

No further information on either game was available.

The Early boys and girls will visit Comanche Friday night while the Bangs teams will play host to Dublin.
