Elizabeth Norwood Miller

Elizabeth Norwood Miller, age 81, passed away Tuesday morning, January 4, 2022, at Brownwood Nursing and Rehab.

Elizabeth attended Bangs schools and graduated from Howard Payne University in 1962. She taught school at Eagle Lake, Texas, and later at Brownwood Middle School retiring at age 65. She had fond memories of the many wonderful students she taught for so many years. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, George and Zilapha Norwood, sisters Christene and son Damon, Betsy Green, and grand-niece, Nadaleell. She is survived by her two sons and their wives, Wade and Monica Miller and their children, Mason and Mallory, and Mitchell and Stacy Miller and children, Shelby and Erika, Kyler, Sheldyn, Sydney, and Spencyr. She is also survived by a brother, George Norwood and a sister, Diane Miller, her very dear friend, and the husband of Betsy and Regan Green. Also surviving are three nephews, Andrew and wife Heather, Chad and wife Sylvia, Dusty and wife Regina, and nieces Shelly, Kimberly, and Tammye and numerous great nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 6 – 8 on Thursday, January 6, with a rosary to be recited at 7 PM in the Davis-Morris Chapel of Heritage Funeral Home

Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 7, at 10:00 am at the St. Mary’s Queen of Peace Catholic Church with burial to follow at the Greenleaf Cemetery under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home, Davis Morris Chapel.
