Brown County Commissioners, in session Tuesday morning, January 4, elected to leave the Burn Ban in place in Brown County.

They received a report from Brown County Emergency Management Coordinator, Chief Darrell Johnston, who provided the most recent data (dated January 4) from the Texas A&M Forest Service.  The data shows Brown County and neighboring counties in a High Fire Danger Rating or Very High in Callahan and western Eastland counties.

Given no rain in the forecast and dry conditions, the Burn Ban remains until further notice.
