In the last seven days, the Brownwood/Brown County Health Department received 43 positive COVID-19 test results. Of the 43 positives this week, 21 were PCR, and 22 were antigen. Of the total number of cases reported this week, 8 cases met the breakthrough definition. This includes asymptomatic, mild symptoms, and severe symptom breakthrough cases. There are 2 people currently hospitalized in Brown County for COVID-19. One new death has been reported this week, a male in his 70’s.

The Brownwood-Brown County Health Department will be moving COVID-19 Testing back to the Brownwood-Brown County health Department. Testing will continue through Monday, December 20th at the current location at 2401 Crocket Drive; then it will reopen on Tuesday, December 21st at 510 East Lee Street, the Health Department.
