WICHITA FALLS – The Brownwood Lions’ bid for a 10th straight victory was denied by Class 5A Wichita Falls Rider in a 69-58 road loss Friday.
The Lions (11-4) trailed Rider (4-11) by a 20-13 count after one quarter, 38-29 at halftime, and 50-40 heading into the fourth quarter.
Jakob Hataway finished with 28 points for Brownwood trailed by Luke Moss with 14, Christian Kinzler with eight, Bryson Monroe with four and Ike Hall with three points.
Brownwood will host Coleman at 1 p.m. Monday.
