Glenn Douglas Betts

Glenn Douglas Betts, age 77, of Brownwood passed away Sunday, November 21, 2021, at a local nursing home.

Glenn was born to Harry and Alta (Lynch) Betts in Seymour, Texas on May 24, 1944. He married the love of his life Frances Baker on July 17, 1964, in Olney, Texas. He worked for the Bill Damron Feedlots, and the Seymour and Haskell Sale Barns, and Potts Longhorn Leather in Greenville, Tx. Glenn loved hunting, fishing, and horseback riding.

Glenn is survived by his wife Frances Betts of Brownwood; son, Lonnie Joe Betts of Dickson, Tn; brother, Harry Donald Betts and wife Cynthia of Bowie, TX; aunt, Inella Jordan of Amarillo, TX; niece and nephews, Charles Harvey and wife Linda of Brownwood, TX, Alta Yeats of Brownwood, Tammy and Bubba Adams of Olden, Tx, Adam Yeats of Brownwood, TX , Michael Yeats of Blanket, TX, Frank Busby of Seymour, John Busby of Iowa Park, TX, Alma Clark of Wichita Falls, Tx.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Alta Evelyn (Lynch) Betts; parents in-laws John and Lottie Clark; 2 sons, Douglas Betts and Richard Betts; daughter, Candace Betts; sister, Wilma Betts Harvey Gregory, sister-in-law, Lottie Ann Busby; 2 brothers, Tommy Betts and Jackie Betts; brother-in-law, Junior Harvey; nephew Ricky Dale Yeats; great nephew Chuck Harvey.

Graveside Services for Glenn will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday November 24, 2021, at Jordan Springs Cemetery with David Barnum officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday evening at Blaylock Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.
