Betty L. Hill

Betty L. Hill, age 87, passed from this life on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 in Brady.

Betty was born on October 14, 1934 in Ysleta, Texas to William Earl and Zona (Croman) Waite. She married George W. Hill on October 14, 1950, and they shared 42 years in life, love and laughter until his passing in May 1992.

Betty was a member of the Lohn Baptist Church. She was a hard worker and worked for the Lohn school district as a cook for 20 years and then as an aide for 12 years. She loved horses, dogs, quilting, and reading good westerns and mysteries. Above all else, she loved her family.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband George Hill, sister Virginia Lee Nichols, her parents, and son-in-law Forrest Ramsey.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her son, John Hill and wife Karen of Kendalia, Texas; three daughters, Betty Bingham and husband Calvin of Brady, Paula Miller and husband Lee of Richland Springs, TX, and Georgia Ramsey of Brady; brother, Eddie Waite; sisters, Jeanette Holiday and Lucy Biermann; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, November 22, 2021 at Heritage Funeral Home in Brady.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel in Brady with Bardin Striegler and Dale McKinnerney officiating. Burial will follow in Marion Cemetery.

Arrangements are entrusted to Heritage Funeral Home of Brady.
