COMANCHE – The Class A Division II No. 3 Richland Springs Coyotes made quick work of the Oglesby Tigers, 53-0, Friday night to advance to the Region IV championship game.

Offensively, Richland Springs scored 31 points in the first quarter, 22 in the second, and racked up 208 yards – 188 on the ground and 20 through the air – while not committing a turnover.

Jadeyn Bryant rushed for 93 yards and two touchdowns – from and 1 and 49 yards out – and hurled a 20-yard touchdown pass to Lane Garcia, while Zane Capps finished with 85 yards on the ground and reached the end zone twice, scoring on carries of 59 and 15 yards.

Bryant and Kenny Triplett also scored defensive touchdowns for the Coyotes following fumbles by Oglesby.

Keston Lusty tallied a team-high seven tackles for Richland Springs followed Brandon Stewart with 5.5, Bryant and Jayden Sutherland with three each, Josiah Beam with two and Capps added 1.5 takedowns.

Next week, the Coyotes will clash with Oakwood (8-3) – a 52-16 winner over Cherokee (7-3) Friday night – in the Class A Division II Region IV final. Richland Springs knocked off Cherokee, 92-70, in District 16 action on Oct .15.
