During his lifetime, he served as Mayor of Blanket and on the Blanket City Council. He was a member of the Brown County Sheriff Posse. He worked closely with other community members to start the Blanket Volunteer Fire Department.

C.T. is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Angela Ham; his children, Serena Ham Mackey and husband Ben, , Janeen Ham Turker and husband Fred, and Clarence “Tinker” Ham Jr. and wife Kayla; nine grandchildren: Heather Mackey, Cody Wright, Tina Beene, Tyrel Beene, Randal Doud, Krissie Mackey, Walker Ham, Kailyn Ham Prost, and Laney Tucker; eight great-grandchildren: Dagan Mackey, Andrew Dugan, Austin Wright, Adam Wright, Addie Doud, Jakob Doud, Sarah Beene, and William Beene; son-in-law, Randy Beene; two half-brothers, Lonnie and Don Blackstock; and one half-sister, Carolyn Blackstock Wilcox.
