The Central Texas Veterans Memorial Veterans Day program will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 11.

State Senator Dr. Dawn Buckingham will serve as the keynote speaker. Senator Buckingham is the first Republican to represent Travis County in the Texas Senate and is the first woman to represent Texas Senate District 24. She was the Victory Chairperson for the Republican party for the entire state of Texas in 2018.Buckingham is currently running for Texas Land Commissioner and will be the first woman to hold that office if elected.

Rear Admiral Jeffrey Lemmons, who is Brownwood‘s highest ranking veteran, will be honored during the event.

State Representative Glenn Rogers is also scheduled to speak.

A limited number of chairs will be available, but attendees are advised to bring a lawn chair.
