Halloween weekend events in Brown County

The following is a list of Halloween-themed events slated to take place within Brown County during the approaching Halloween weekend:

  • The Brown County Museum of History’s Haunted Jail will be open from 7:30 p.m. to 11:45 p.m. Oct. 29-31. $5 per person. Admissions every 15 minutes. Link here
  • Costume contest (no entry fee) and goodie bag handouts at Jomio and Rueliete’s Cards and Comics, located at 2101 CR 381 in Early, during business hours on October 29-31. Contest winner will be chosen the following week.

Wednesday, Oct. 27

  • Milton Avenue Baptist Church Fall Festival, 6 to 8 p.m.

Thursday, Oct. 28

  • 10th Annual Trick or Treat Trail at the Depot, 5 to 7 p.m.
  • First Christian Church Trunk or Treat, 5:30 to 7 p.m.

Friday, Oct. 29

  • May FFA 3rd Annual Halloween Party at the May Sports Complex, 6 p.m.
  • BHS Lion Varsity Players Theatre of Darkness: CarnEVIL, 6 p.m. to Midnight (Tickets $5 at the door)

Saturday, Oct. 30

  • Street Dreams Car Show/Trunk or Treat, 10 a.m to 2 p.m. at Advance Auto Parts in Brownwood
  • Brownwood Lakeside Event Center Halloween/Grand Opening (175 Lakeside Dr.), 2 to 6 p.m.
  • 13th Annual Trick-or-Treat Downtown Brownwood, 5 p.m. (Texas Massage Academy, Luna Maya, Lyric Theatre, Earth & Noble, Pioneer Tap House, The Hen House, Shaw’s Marketplace, Robbin’s Nest, Saturday’s , Intermission Bookstore, 10-Mile Productions)
  • Lake Brownwood State Park Trunk or Treat, 5 p.m. (can of cranberry sauce or chicken stock donation)
  • North Lake 2nd Annual Trunk or Treat at 3041 Harbor Drive in May, 6 to 8:30 p.m.
  • BHS Lion Varsity Players Theatre of Darkness: CarnEVIL, 6 p.m. to Midnight (Tickets $5 at the door)
  • Boo Bash in Downtown Brownwood, 6:30 p.m. to 1 a.m.
  • Trunk or Treat at the Grosvenor Baptist Church, 6 p.m.
  • May Project Graduation Haunted House (4000 FM 1689), 7 p.m. to Midnight
  • Halloween at Xtreme Jump Trampoline Park (ages 12-18), 8 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Sunday, Oct. 31

  • Drive-thru Trick or Treat at Bangs First United Methodist Church, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
  • 6th Annual Brownwood FFA Trunk of Treat (10th and Good Shepherd), 5:30 p.m. until dark
  • Trunk or Treat at Brownwood First Baptist Church, 5 to 7 p.m.
  • Trunk or Treat at Early First Baptist Church, 5:30 to 7 p.m.
  • Trunk or Treat at Bangs First Baptist Church, 5:30 p.m. until candy’s gone
  • Freedom Fellowship Church in Early Fall Festival, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
  • May Project Graduation Haunted House (4000 FM 1689), 7 to 9 p.m.
