Alvin Andrew Locke

Alvin Andrew Locke, age 67, of Sonora formerly of Brownwood passed away Saturday, October 23, 2021, at home.

Celebration of Life for Alvin will be held Tuesday, October 26, 2021, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Blaylock Funeral Home Chapel; private interment will be held at later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

Alvin was born on June 24, 1954, to Munroe Edward Locke and Willadine (Meyer) Locke in Austin, Texas. He worked for the City of Brownwood for several years. Alvin was very kindhearted and loving. He loved his children and grandchildren dearly. Alvin was playful and loved joking around, he also enjoyed having a cold beer and fishing.

Alvin is survived by his three children, Tessie Schaefer of Louisiana, David Andrew Locke and wife April of San Angelo, and Brittany Locke and fiancé Donavon Cantu of San Angelo; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and 4 siblings, Gilbert Locke and wife Kathy of Goldthwaite, Lucinda Pickens of Brownwood, Mike Locke and wife Peggy of Brownwood, Libby Hobbs and husband Clarence of Brownwood. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Munroe and Willadine Locke; and a grandson, Derrick Cates.
