Patty Davis, age 67, of Rising Star passed away Monday, October 18, 2021. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 P.M. Friday, October 22 at Heartland Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held the following Saturday, October 30th at 2 P.M. at Turnersville Cemetery in Coryell County.

Patty was born February 15, 1954 in Gatesville, Tx. She received her Associates Degree in Nursing from Howard College. Patty loved the Lord with all her heart. She attended Cross Texas Cowboy Church. She devoted all her time to the Lord and to helping others. She was a nurse and a teacher, not only in her career but in all aspects of her life. She was the person that everyone around depended on. Patty loved dancing and singing at church and anything to do with music. She said that her main goal in life was to make a difference in the life of a child, and she did. The number of kids that she had an impact on is innumerable.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Alan Davis, Father – Iris Ray Adams, Mother – Patsy Perez, Paternal Grandfather and Grandmother – Earl and Dicie Adams, Maternal Grandfather and Grandmother – Walter and Opal Diserens, and her Best Friends and Sisters in Christ – Connie Burcham and Debra Childers.

She is survived by Husband Gary Childers, Children Melissa Harris and Jarrad Hoggett, Uncle Jimmy Earl Adams, Sister Pamela Kay Rogers, Brother James Adams, multiple bonus siblings, 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, several much-loved cousins, nieces and nephews, and multiple bonus children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Houses for Healing in Abilene, Tx. https://housesforhealing.networkforgood.com/projects/59457-houses-for-healing-compaign .
