CLEBURNE – The Brownwood High fall team tennis season reached its conclusion Tuesday with a 15-2 loss to Peaster in the bi-district round of the playoffs.

“They are a very solid team and I knew they would be tough,” said Brownwood High tennis coach Crystal Blazek. “Again, the scores in some matches were very close so we are right there, but we’ve just got to be able to finish. We will keep grinding and get there. Now we’ll give them a little break and great ready for the spring season.”

Tallying the wins for Brownwood were Lady Lions No. 1 singles player Victoria Ramos (6-1, 6-0 over Anna Turner), and Lions No. 3 singles player Nathan Ramos (3-6, 6-1, 11-9 over Brody Miller).

Also competing Tuesday were the Lions doubles teams of No. 1 Peter Le and River Prado, No. 2 Ramos and Dillon Gatlin, and No. 3 Taevion Nickerson and Wesley Goodich; and the Lady Lions’ doubles tandems of No. 1 Ramos and Aishwayra Nigayle, No. 2 Natalie Mares and Emma Delgado, and No. 3 Claire Meinicke and Raylei Hickey; and the mixed doubles duo of Taylor Wallace and Tatum Dehart.

On the court in singles action for the boys were Le in the No. 1 spot, No. 2 Gatlin, No. 4 Prado, No. 5 Wallace and No. 6 Eric Waldrop.

Taking the court for the Lady Lions were No. 2 Nigayle, No. 3 Dehart, No. 4 Madalyn Scull, No. 5 Mares, and No. 6 Hickey.
