G.W. Eoff

G.W. Eoff, 93, of Early, Texas passed away Friday, October 8, 2021. A visitation with family will be held at Heartland Funeral Home, 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Tuesday, October 12, 2021. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 13, 2021 in the Blanket Cemetery with Dennis Williams officiating.

G.W. or “Pa” as everyone called him was born in Blanket to George and Lucille Eoff on January 14, 1928. He attended school in Blanket and married Una May Fisher July 17, 1948. Their union was blessed for more than 70 years with 5 boys to raise and all the happiness that comes with a large family. Pa worked for almost 50 years in Highway construction and after retirement, G.W. and May traveled the United States and parts of Canada. He enjoyed watching the old timey westerns on television, country music and his grandchildren & great grandchildren. G.W. and Una May like to follow Joe Paul Nichols, a Country & Western band all over enjoying the trips and people they met at the concerts. G.W. and Una May were called Pa & Ma by people that knew them in their community, a community where they were born, raised and still live, a place that they loved.

G.W. is survived by his wife, Una May Eoff of Early; sons, Larry Eoff and wife Vickie, Ronnie Eoff and wife, Kathy, Travis Eoff and wife Theresa, Kevin Eoff all of Early and Alvis Eoff and wife, Tammy of Brownwood; 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and, 8 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends.

G.W. was preceded in death by a great grandson, Hudson Parker Eoff; his parents, George & Lucille Eoff; 3 brothers and 4 sisters.
