Bangs notches second district victory against Comanche

COMANCHE – The Bangs Lady Dragons completed a District 8-3A volleyball sweep of Comanche with a four-set road victory Saturday.

Maggie Morales and Jacee Miller paced the Bangs (12-12, 2-7) offensive attack with 12 kills apiece followed by five each from Jadyn Miller and Rachel Solis, two from Wipada Pakaew and one apiece by McKenzie Hughes and Kasey Solis.

Laynie Evans distributed 13 assists while Hadley King dished out 11, Hughes and Neeley Bradley added two each and Morales and Kasey Solis both finished with one.

Jadyn Miller served six aces, Jacee Miller added two, and Bradley, King, Morales, Evans and Raylee Hutchins added one apiece.

Defensively, Jacee Miller logged 19 digs trailed by Jadyn Miller with nine, King with eight, Joey Newton with seven, Morales with six, Hutchins and Rachel Solis with four apiece, Evans and Hughes with three each, and Bradley and Pakaew with two apiece.

Morales also recorded three blocks against Comanche (0-9 in district) followed by one apiece from Pakaew, Jacee Miller and Kasey Solis.

Bangs is back in action at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Dublin.
