Michael Isaiah Mims, age 23, of Brownwood passed from this life on Tuesday, September 28, 2021.

A Celebration of Life for Isaiah will be held Wednesday, October 6, 2021, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Blaylock Funeral Home Chapel; private interment will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

Michael Isaiah Mims was born on April 8, 1998, to Timothy Mims and Tamara Rachel Morgan in Brownwood. He graduated from Brownwood High School in 2016. After graduating high school, he studied at Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi. Isaiah had a strong love and compassion for animals, he was actively trying to start an animal rescue before he passed.

Isaiah is survived by his mother, Rachel Glaze and stepfather, Victor, of Killeen; father, Timothy Mims and stepmother, Cynthia, of Corpus Christi; siblings: Nicholas Mims of Copperas Cove, Rebekah Mims of Orange Grove, Daniel Mims of Copperas Cove, Deion Mims of Lufkin, Emrael Mims of Brownwood, Victor Glaze, II of Killeen, Justin Glaze of Killeen, and Matthew Glaze of Killeen; grandmothers, Sharon Owens of Abilene, Melissa Phillips and husband Ray of Mathis; grandfather, Gary Morgan of Ft. Worth; aunt, Letitia Lara and husband Marc of Mathis; uncles, Adam Owens of Abilene, Bishop Morgan and wife Nicole of Mathis; 7 cousins, Beatriz, Katrina, Amaris, Nicole, Damieon, Katelynn, and Tyler; and his best friend, April Phillips of Brownwood. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and countless friends.

He was preceded in death by his favorite 4-legged friend, Hippo; aunt, Misty Mims; and great-grandma, Joyce Bishop.
