Brown County Sheriff’s Report – Oct. 4

  • On Friday, October 1 at approximately 11:07 a.m. Deputy Scotty Burke met with a complainant. This was in reference to the theft of a ladder from his work vehicle. 
  • On Friday, October 1 at around 6:01 p.m. Deputy Carlyle Gover arrived at Dillard Drive. This was in reference to a civil matter over dog ownership. After handling the dispute, a female was issued a trespass warning. A report was made.
  • On Friday, October 1, Deputy Joe Thomas was dispatched to a report of Fraud. The complainant advised a known person had used her credit card information to make several purchases. A report was made.
  • On Sunday, October 3 at approximately 12:46 p.m., Deputy Scotty Burke was dispatched to CR 498. This was in reference to a broken window on a vehicle.
  • On Sunday, October 3 at around 1:14 p.m. Deputy Carlyle Gover arrived at CR 178. This was in reference to a fence, which was damaged the previous night. After further investigation, a report was made.
  • On Sunday, October 3 at about 1:15 p.m. Deputy Byron Langley arrived at FM 2273 in May, TX. This was in regard to criminal mischief. Langley spoke with a victim, who stated his sister had called in about her mailbox being run over. The victim stated his mailbox was damaged as well.
  • On Sunday October 3, 2021, at 4:23 p.m. Sgt. Jayson Bastardo was dispatched to 400 E Commerce, Hendrick Urgent Care. This was in regards to an animal bite, which occurred in the county. Upon arrival information was gathered and a report was taken.
