Audrey Grace Petty died in a tragic accident in Austin on Thursday, Sept. 23, 2021. She was 34.

Audrey Grace Petty was born February 27, 1987, the daughter of Celinda Jane Hawkins and Robert Wayne Petty, Jr.

Survivors include her mother Celinda Jane Hawkins of Brownwood, Texas, her sister Emma Catherine Petty of Philadelphia, Penn., father, Robert Wayne Petty and his wife Patricia of Pipe Creek, Texas, aunt Susan Hawkins Bruner and cousins Ryan Andrew Bruner and Nicholas Austin Bruner of Austin, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Bobby Joe and Judith Jane Hawkins of Odessa, Texas, her great-uncle Jack Calmes of Dallas, Texas, and her uncle Howard Bruner of Austin, Texas.

Audrey Grace grew up in Brownwood where she graduated from Brownwood High School in 2005. She attended Odessa College and graduated from Texas State University – San Marcos with a Bachelor’s in Human Resources. She worked for 20 years in the legal profession, most recently as a paralegal.

Audrey had a radiant, energetic, and loving demeanor with her signature smile that lit up the room when she entered. She lived her life to the fullest every day. She was a world traveler who loved to meet new people and enjoy the finer things in life. She possessed the unique ability to connect with anyone throughout her travels at home and abroad. Audrey, who can hardly be described by those who she encountered, truly left her mark on this world and in the many hearts of the people who knew and loved her. She will not only be greatly missed, but she will indeed be greatly remembered.

A small outdoor memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Greenleaf Cemetery in Brownwood, Texas. If guests would like to gather following the service Saturday, the Turtle Restaurant has kindly opened their doors and is offering a limited menu from 2:30 to 5:00 pm.

Due to the late notice of the Saturday memorial, a celebration of life will be held at 10 Mile Productions Tasting Room in Brownwood, Texas in November 2021, date to be announced.
