Alvin Edward Jordan

Alvin Edward Jordan, age 68, of Brownwood passed away Saturday, September 25, at Hendrick Medical Center, Brownwood.

He was born November 14, 1952 in Lawton, Oklahoma, the son of Alvin Hubbard Jordan and Vera Virginia Wigley Jordan. He graduated from high school and later received his bachelor’s degree. He served in the U. S. Navy for over 33 years working as a cytology technician in the Navy medical field. He later worked for the Brownwood hospital and for several hotels in the area. He had lived in Brownwood since 1994.

He is survived by two sons, Fred Alvin Jordan and wife Petina of Ravensdale, Washington, Robert Duwayne Jordan and spouse Becky Edwards of Attleboro, Massachusetts, a daughter, Melannie Michelle Shiell and husband Samuel of Kalispell, Montana, four grandchildren, Faith, Tristan, Brayden, Ryley and a sister, Christina.

He was preceded in death by is parents and a granddaughter, Mary Jo.

Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 pm on Wednesday in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home/Davis-Morris of Brownwood with military honors at 9:30 am on Thursday at the funeral home.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Heritage Funeral Home, Davis-Morris Chapel in Brownwood. Friends and family are encouraged to view the online memorial at www.heritagefuneraltx.com.
