Paul Robert Bevens

Paul Robert Bevens, age 76, of Coleman, Texas passed into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at 9:42 am at Coleman County Medical Center.
Per his wishes there will not be a memorial service.
Paul was born May 13, 1945 in Alhambra, California to his parents Robert Lloyd Bevens and Blossom Melinda Fields.  He was raised in Southern California and graduated from John Bosco Technical School for boys.   As a widower, after losing his wife of nearly 20 years Denise L Bevens, Paul had resided in Coleman for the past 13 years where he was a member of the Central Baptist Church. Mr. Bevens had a diversified work history including the Solar Industry, a Fuel Polishing Business that he started from the ground up, and was formerly employed as a LA County Sheriff’s Deputy.  Paul was a Master Electrician and General Contractor. He started a number of businesses.  At the end of his life he was self-employed, fixing small gas engines. He was always pushing himself to excellence in each field.  Paul was a member of Mensa International and enjoyed creating Iron Art.  He was a good friend and many people in the community enjoyed his company. He loved his dog Max very much.
Paul is survived by: Son – Michael & wife Marisa Bevens of Broomfield, CO; Grandchildren – Callan & Carter Bevens; Step Daughter – Shellie (Hession) Kohler & husband Rich Kohler; Grandchildren  – Richard, Christopher, Bryce, and Garrett Kohler; Step Son – Ryan and wife Shelley Hession; Grandchildren – Riley, Makenna, and Kassidy Hession; Sisters – Linda M & husband Carl Hartzell of Grants Pass, OR; Susan Louise Bevens of College Place, WA; and Numerous Nieces, Nephews, and Great Grandchildren.
