Linnie Mae Griffith Shutz, 85, went to be with the Lord on September 15, 2021, at Senior Care Center in Brownwood, Texas.

She was born on May 16, 1936, in San Angelo, Texas, to Lee and Capitola (Lankford) Moore. Linnie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and devoted her life to her family. She was united in marriage to Frank Griffith, who preceded her in death, and later married Raymond Shutz, who also preceded her in death. Linnie was a resident of Comanche for twenty-one years. She had a passion for quilting and spent much of her time at the Comanche Senior Center making exquisite quilts with her friends.

She is survived by her children: Sherry Jennings and husband Tommy of Comanche, Lee Griffith and wife Cindie of Rising Star, and Leona Armendarez and husband Lupe of Gainesville. She was the proud grandmother of LeAnn Robinett and husband Alan of De Leon, Brandi Morris and husband Kobey of Rising Star, Amber Griffith of Cross Plains, Dolly Herbert of Rising Star, Tara Newton and husband Bo of Bangs, Kayla Armendarez of Brownwood, Mandy Fixico and husband Trey of Grand Prairie; and Kelly Jennings of Abilene. Her “pride and joy” were her great-grandchildren, Anna Ashlyn, Alyssa, and Jayden Robinett, Dathon and Taylor Morris, Treycie Bilbrey, Chevy Martin, Stacie Herbert, Kaiden and Miles Griffith, N.J. Newton, Shilah Jennings, and Cassidy Fixico. She is also survived by her sister, Cherry Lankford of Corpus Christi.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Capitola Lankford Moore; and siblings, Minnie Braddock, Martha Lankford, and Jay Lankford.

Family received friends at Comanche Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 16, 2021, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.

Graveside service was at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, September 17, 2021, at Blanket Cemetery in Blanket, Texas, with Rev. Robby Stuteville officiating. Comanche Funeral Home is in Charge of Arrangements. Condolences may be offered on line at www.comanchefh.com.
