Lorean Guevara, 82, of Bangs passed away Monday, August 30, 2021. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 15, 2021 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM with the Funeral Service to follow in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM, September 15, 2021. Interment will follow at the Blanket Cemetery officiated by Bill Slaymaker.

Lorean was born September 5, 1937 to Moses and Martha Rodriguez in Menard, Texas. She graduated from Menard High School and went to Cosmetology School where she was licensed as a Beautician. Lorean loved her job and all her customers, she worked cutting hair all her life. Lorean married the love of her life, Lawrence Guevara Jr. on December 27, 1960 and they began a life together that blessed them with three children. Lorean was a Navy wife while Lawrence served in the Navy for over 18 years and moved everywhere with him while raising the children. They settled in Brownwood Texas after retirement from the Navy and Lorean finished raising the children. She loved gardening and flowers of all kinds, being a home body, she took up painting and loved painting portraits of angel statues. Lorean loved being a grandmother and spoiled her grandkids with the best Spaghetti and letting them paint angels with her, sometime though, they painted each other. Lorean was stubborn and willful and set in her ways, however she was the best mother and grandmother a person could have.

Lorean is survived by her sons, Lawrence Guevara III and partner David Waldrop of Richmond; Mike Guevara and wife Flora of Stephenville; grandson, Joseph M. Guevara of Houston; granddaughters, Kera McClunk of Bangs, Courtney Smith of Redmond, WA, and Samantha Guevara of Tyler; Her beloved pets, Brucey, Tino and Delilah; and her Grand dog, Aiden; 5 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends.

Lorean was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Guevara; a daughter, Diane Woolover; and a great grandson, Lennon Smith.
