In the last seven days, the Brownwood/Brown County Health Department received 378 positive COVID-19 test results, resulting in one again a record high number of positive cases recorded since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Of the 378 positives this week, 150 were PCR, and 228 were antigen. There are 20 people currently hospitalized in Brown County for COVID-19. Four new deaths have been reported: Three males in their 50s and one male in his 70s, none are from nursing facilities.
