Brown County Sheriff’s Report – Sept. 9

  • On Tuesday, September 7, Deputy Mason Fabbiani was notified that a vehicle had been stolen off FM 1176. The subject, who was supposed to have the vehicle, has not made contact with the complainant. A report has been made at this time.
  • On Tuesday, September 7, Deputy Mason Fabbiani was notified of a civil issue. It was determined it was actually a identity theft, due to a subject trying to buy items using somebody else’s information. A report has been made.
  • On Wednesday, September 8 deputies were dispatched to an address on County Road 334. This was in regards to receiving multiple 911 calls. Once arriving on scene, it was determined the calls were false and one subject was taken into custody for False Report. A report has been made.
  • On Wednesday, September 8, at approximately 9:04 a.m., Deputy Scotty Burke spoke with the complainant by phone. This was in reference to a burglary of a building report. 
  • On Wednesday, September 8 at about 11:50 a.m. Deputy Byron Langley, arrived at Coggin Ave in Brownwood. This was in regards to trespassing. Langley spoke to a victim who stated he did not want his sister to go onto his property, located at CR 157 in Bangs, TX. The victim stated he also believes his sister has been to their mother’s grave in Bangs, TX, and damaged items placed on the grave.
  • On Wednesday, September 8, Deputy Toby Mathis responded to the 8700 block of CR 136 for a report of a possible robbery. An individual was called in after almost being struck by the caller’s vehicle. The individual appeared to be under the influence of a narcotic and was placed in custody for Public Intoxication.
  •  On Thursday, September 9, Deputy Chris Angel, was dispatched to North 1st Street, Bangs, Texas. This was in reference to a robbery.  Angel made contact with the victim who stated an unknown female and male robbed him at gun point in the Thrifty area.
