Cathy Patterson, age 71, of Brownwood passed away Saturday morning at the Oakridge Manor Nursing Home.

She was born June 26, 1950 in Goldsmith, Texas the daughter of Thomas Frank and Mary (Glasglow) Patterson. After completing high school, she attended some college and later worked as a truck driver. She also worked as a prison guard for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. She enjoyed fishing and her family will remember her as being mischievous but very loving to her family. She had lived the past six months in Brownwood with her daughter.

She is survived by a son, Kenneth Patterson and wife Candice of Houston, four daughters, Priscilla Craig and husband David of Arkansas, D D Jones and husband Charles of Hutto, Texas, Amy Lance and husband Nick of Brownwood, and Stephanie Freshour and husband Johnny of Hornsby, Texas, sixteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Deberah Hollsworth and Donna Nimmons and a brother, Tomm Patterson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.

The family will host a celebration of her life at Lake LBJ and later inter her with her parents at Odessa.
