BANGS – The Bangs Dragons were plagued by five turnovers as the Florence Buffaloes snapped a 15-game losing streak with a 45-14 road victory Friday night at Memorial Stadium.

Bangs (0-2) finished with 287 total yards – 159 rushing and 128 passing – but hurled three interceptions and lost a pair of fumbles.

Guy Powell rushed for 113 yards and a score, completed a 24-yard touchdown pass and finished with two receptions for 15 yards. Kade Minshew completed 9 of 13 passes for 104 yards with three interceptions, while rushing for 25 yards. Zack Ferguson caught two passes for 67 yards and added a 6-yard carry, while Damien Santillanes rushed for 15 yards and caught four passes for 15 yards. Guy Funk added a 24-yard touchdown catch and Nate Stoffer made a 7-yard reception.

Defensively, Funk intercepted a pass for the Dragons’ only takeaway against the Florence (1-1) offense.

Bangs will attempt to secure its first win of the season next week as it hosts Winters (0-1), which was off Friday after suffering a 24-6 loss to Anson in Week 1.
