The Brownwood JV Lions moved to 2-0 on the season with a 57-0 rout of Midland Greenwood at Gordon Wood Stadium

Quarterback Ike Hall led the Lions offense with seven total touchdowns – four passing and three rushing. Morsello Hooker and Jake Jetton both caught touchdown passes, while Logan McKibben chipped in a score on the ground.

The Lions defense was led by inside linebacker Sam Kallman, nose guard Davis Le, and outside linebacker Logan Posey, who recorded one interception.

In Week 1, the JV Lions knocked off Lampasas by 35-6 count.

Hall led the way for the Lions offense throwing three touchdown passes – one each to McKibben, Hayden Noe, and Xavier Zepeda. McKibben added two touchdowns on the ground as well.

The Lions defense did not allow a score until late in the fourth quarter. Chris Robinson, Daylan McGee, and Colton McMillian led the charge.

The Brownwood Freshman Lions picked up their first win of the season over Midland Greenwood, 12-0, Thursday night at Gordon Wood Stadium.

The Lions scored on their first drive, converting a 4th and goal from the 12 on a touchdown pass from Braeden Stacks to Ross Strasner.

Brownwood added its final touchdown on the last drive, as Noah Gonzalez scored on a 5-yard carry with 30 seconds left.

Defensive standouts included Weston Wolf (4 tackles, 2 deflections, 1 sack, 1 TFL, and a blocked punt), Gonzalez (4 tackles), Gary Wiedebush (2 tackles, 2 sacks), and Nick Taylor (1 sack).

The Freshman Lions bounced back from a 13-0 loss to Lampasas in their season opener last week.

Lampasas took a 7-0 lead in the first quarter following a Brownwood fumble inside its 10 yard line. The Badgers added a third-quarter touchdown for the final 13-point margin.

Standouts for the Lions included Antonio Ybarra (7 tackles, fumble recovery), Trae Jones (6 tackles), Weston Wolf (2 tackles, 3 TFL), and Kenyan McDowell (3 tackles, 1 PBU).
